Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children and using child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received numerous grants, and has been honored with many national and international awards. She has consulted with various governments and agencies across the world on policies and the research of children's victimization within the court system. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
